**International Yoga Day and World Music Day Celebration – June 21**
On June 21, our institution celebrated both International Yoga Day and World Music Day with a variety of engaging and dynamic activities that focused on health, well-being, and the appreciation of music. The event included a Zumba class, an introduction to yoga presented by a student, a talk on music, and a film song competition, all of which made the day enjoyable and enlightening for everyone involved.
### **Zumba Class**
The celebration began with a high-energy Zumba class that got students moving and excited. The class, led by an experienced instructor, allowed students to engage in an aerobic workout while having fun with dance movements. Zumba proved to be an excellent way to combine fitness with entertainment, and students enjoyed the lively atmosphere as they danced to upbeat music. This activity emphasized the importance of physical fitness and how it can be enjoyable through dance.
### **Introduction to Yoga**
As part of the International Yoga Day observance, one of the students presented an insightful introduction to yoga. The presentation covered the origins of yoga, its significance in promoting physical and mental health, and its benefits for relaxation, flexibility, and mindfulness. Following the presentation, a brief yoga session was conducted, allowing students to practice basic asanas (poses) and breathing exercises. This activity helped promote the importance of maintaining balance between body and mind and inspired many students to incorporate yoga into their daily routines.
### **Music Talk and Film Song Competition**
In celebration of World Music Day, another student gave a talk about the significance of music in daily life. The presentation discussed how music transcends language and culture, bringing people together and providing emotional and mental benefits. The student highlighted various forms of music and their impact on different cultures around the world.
To cap off the World Music Day celebration, a film song competition was organized. Students showcased their vocal talents by singing popular film songs in different languages, adding a fun and competitive element to the day. The competition brought out a range of musical talents and provided an opportunity for students to express their creativity through music.
The combined celebration of International Yoga Day and World Music Day was a vibrant and meaningful event. The Zumba class, yoga introduction, music talk, and film song competition together created an atmosphere of joy, learning, and self-expression. These activities helped raise awareness of the benefits of physical exercise, mental well-being, and the power of music, making June 21 a memorable day for all participants.
